Hey Martin,

Just wondering

If the goal is to make the C1 BMS more accessible, why not make it compatible with commonly available hybrid inverters like Deye / Growatt / Studer ?

Using something like the pylon protocol should make the implementation of Solar BESS even easier

Is the aversion due to restrictions of open source design ?

Hi Muki,

There is no aversion against these inverters or protocols, I just didn’t have the need and time to implement it. Also I don’t have inverters of many different brands here for testing.

If you have one of these inverters and you would like to implement the protocol to communicate with it, you are more than welcome to submit a PR. Would be great to get many different protocol options implemented in the future.
